Bruce Clark's award winning pumpkin was big enough for a playhouse!
The 2nd place giant pumpkin was grown right here in Rockingham County by giant pumpkin grower Bruce Clark. All 954 pounds of it! Well..... that's how much it weighed until it became the biggest jack-o-lantern around! Carving was done by Chris Cook. When Bruce isn't watching his pumpkins grow (sometimes 30+ pounds a day), he heads out to install Invisible Fencing for his clients. In the spring, Bruce has promised us some seeds from the Great Pumpkin for sale. Grow your own giant in 2010!
Check out our Calendar of Events for the special activities we have planned for spring and summer.
We were recently featured on WVPT's Virginia Farming program, hosted by Jeff Ishee.
